GB1RL
- Royal Liver Building, Liverpool
Weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May 2008 celebrated the 100th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Royal Liver Building, Liverpool. A number of Club members and friends manned an amateur radio station from the roof of the building with the special event callsign GB1RL. Antennas were a full size 80m dipole and a monster Diamond XN510 for VHF. Contacts on HF numbered 192 with 164 on VHF which was a pleasing result.
