Leasowe, is the oldest brick built lighthouse in the United Kingdom and is regularly open to visitors on a Sunday. (Please check the Friends of Leasowe Lighthouse website for Opening Times). On "Open Days", depending on numbers, groups of 15 people are allowed to climb to the top with a guide. On a clear day the old lamp-house provides spectacular views over the Irish Sea from Liverpool bay to the North Wales coast, so if you're visiting, remember to carry your camera and some binoculars.
